My First Week at Fuse: Pamela Old

Back to Blogs

My week actually started on Friday 7th of February with a Team Lunch. Great way to be introduced to the team in an informal setting with plenty of banter and laughs.

Monday 10th of February:

Super excited after meeting everyone on Friday I jumped right in. Mathew ter Haar gave me the run down with a tour of the building and essential information followed by an over view of the office in's and out's. Then we got down to business, we sorted out log in's talked about our on-boarding plan and got across training details. But from day one we had run's on the board and I was allocated my first group of active jobs.

Tuesday 11th of February:

Today I arrived to find a box of chocolates and a card signed by the team welcoming me to the team. Super sweet!

More training but the priority was jumping in to the active job list. We created our first video request form to Jess who also made me feel welcome, during the day we scheduled further training across LinkedIn, One Drive, Phone System orientation was attempted, that's always fun. I attended my first Weekly Team Meeting and was introduced to our overall targets. It's great to be part of a team who operates with such transparency.

Oh and I booked my first candidate for Client Interview!

Wednesday 11th of February:

Really in the rhythm now, candidate interviews booked and secured my first Candidate interview with a client on the Gold Coast. Things went really well and I placed my first candidate, that gave us the opportunity to run with system training. Client and Candidate letter of offer, Workpro modules and reference checking which also returned a new client lead. All in All a great day!

Thursday 13th of February:

5.30am Start Check, call placed to the candidate to make sure he has everything he needs for his start and that he is on his way okay. Couldn't ask for a better start to the day!

Today went as per normal, priority is to attract the right candidates but also getting a recap of training in to ensure I am on top of the process, things can move quickly in Temp and I want to be the best I can be.

Oh and I placed my second candidate!

Friday 14th of February:

First day check with my candidate who started in his new role today, another great way to start the day!

More live training today and really cementing the Fuse Process which I really love, our document control, compliance and commitment to doing right is something that really resonates with me.

We had a team exercise this afternoon where everyone nominates a team member for something they have done during the week that is inline with the Fuse Values. It's fantastic listening to the team compliment each other and encouraging one another to keep up the great work!

My first week at Fuse has been filled with kicking goals and being part of a great team.
