Job Description

This specialist advisory service provides clients, largely in the Mining and Mining Services sector, high quality risk management and insurance broking solutions to align their clients' risk profile with tailored insurance programs. The client is in an exciting growth phase and this Account Director role will ideally suit a candidate who is interested in joining a dynamic and expanding team for a long-term career opportunity. You'll have the opportunity to advance your skills through New Business and Account Management opportunities whilst offering a complete and bespoke service solution across contracts, claims, advice and administration.

The Responsibilities:

  • Manage an existing portfolio of medium to large corporate clients
  • Partner with senior stakeholders (internal and external) to provide bespoke insurance solutions
  • Drive new business in the mining and resources sector
  • Conduct risk analysis and strategy workshops aligned with clients' needs
  • Prepare reports for detailed and thorough client reviews and conduct client presentations as required
  • Ensure all documents, processing, claims and service levels are met within agree KPI's with clients

The Must Haves & Do's:

  • Excellent working knowledge of all insurance classes including supply chain risks, credit and political risks
  • Strong familiarisation with the Mining, Mining Services and Resources sector
  • Significant insurance market knowledge including strong relationships with underwriters
  • Proficiency at developing working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support and drive new business opportunities and develop new client networks
  • Current Tier 1 Broking qualification
  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Previous Account Management within the General Insurance industry (essential)
  • Right to work in Australia (essential)
  • Diploma of Financial Services (Broking) - completed or partial
  • The ability to proactively and independently manage an existing client portfolio
  • Personable, proactive and customer focused
