Our client is the newly formed business following the merger of 2 successful Steadfast brokerages and a relocation to Brisbane's inner-suburbs. They have a clear strategy for future growth and a strong high-performing office culture. As part of their ongoing growth and service delivery, they are now recruiting for an Account Manager to focus on their sizeable SME portfolio and manage the team within.

The Need to Know:

  • Demonstrates leadership and management qualities
  • Oversee the workload, performance and execution of a small team
  • Effectively manage an existing portfolio of SME Commercial clients
  • Support and drive new business through upsell opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key SME clients
  • Provide risk management advice and comprehensive insurance knowledge to clients
  • Maintain industry/market knowledge
  • Provide an outstanding and efficient service to all customers

The Must Haves:

  • 5 years broking experience within the SME Commercial environment (essential)
  • Tier 1 Broking qualification (essential)
  • Experience with managing or leading a team (strongly preferred)
  • Strong general insurance product knowledge
  • Established insurer and broader market relationships
  • The ability to proactively manage an existing portfolio
  • Proven customer service capabilities
  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Personable, proactive and customer focused
