Job Description

A new vacancy has been created in the CBD with a brokerage of over 40 years of heritage for an Assistant Account Executive to join this high-performing team. This friendly and supportive culture is perfect for someone with their Tier 1 qualification and experience in a similar role who is looking to manage their own portfolio. You'll be responsible for a Domestic book along with assisting an Account Executive and Director with their SME portfolio. They're wanting you to start ASAP so get your application in quickly!

The need to know:

  • Assisting an Account Executive and Director with their SME portfolios
  • Demonstrate knowledge across all insurance lines
  • Providing high levels of service to clients and prospects
  • Manage client/insurer relationships, renewals, claims and other business needs across the whole spectrum of broker responsibilities
  • Obtain quotes for clients' policies - new and existing - using insurer platforms and portals
  • Preparation of reports, manuals, renewal letters and policy documentation

The must haves:

  • Tier 1 Qualification
  • Commercial broking experience
  • Sunrise, SVU and iBais experience (preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • A "sense of urgency" and ability to work under pressure and with attention to detail
  • Love working as part of a team
  • A passion for learning and development
  • Ability to use initiative and maintain high levels of confidentiality
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
