Job Description

Our client is a large, successful Insurance Brokerage specialising in domestic and commercial business across QLD. They pride themselves on providing a superior level customer service and thorough technical expertise across their 3 offices. They're positioned in Brisbane's inner suburbs and are seeking a Claims Assistant to join their friendly team and help the Claims Manager by taking responsibility for the end-to-end processing of a small claims. Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience in a claims role within a brokerage with end-to-end exposure to at least one class of claims, a great customer service standard and able to work autonomously & collaboratively.

The Need to Know:

  • End-to-end claims management
  • Work with all insurance classes
  • Austbrokers member
  • Start with simple & basic claims and progress as your experience grows
  • Maintain excellent customer service with a high-attention to detail
  • Provide risk management advice and comprehensive insurance knowledge to clients
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key SME clients
  • Maintain industry/market knowledge

The Must Have's:

  • 1-2 years intermediated claims experience
  • Tier 2 qualification (preferred) or prepared to obtain (at company's expense)
  • Proficient working with claims in at least one class of insurance
  • Comfortable speaking to domestic and commercial clients
  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Provide an outstanding and efficient service to all customers
  • Comfortable in a high-volume environment with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient at Microsoft products and computer functions (Word, Excel, Outlook etc)
  • Personable, proactive and customer focused
  • A self-starter and the ability to work autonomously
