Due to organic growth our client is looking to expand their highly specialised insurance team by adding a Claims Manager to help maintain the high level of service proposition.

About the role:

The successful candidate will form part of a professional team responsible for managing the claims for a general insurance portfolio of clients. You will report directly to the Business Manager and responsible for the end-to-end management of claims across the full product suite and range of clientele. The role requires a previous knowledge and understanding of a claims environment and familiarity with insurance products. Furthermore, the role will offer a chance to develop and hone your skills further down the leadership pathway. Additionally:

  • End-to-end claims management
  • Maintain the existing high-level of customer service
  • Follow ups
  • Maintain accurate documentation including file notes
  • Lodging claims in the local market
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • High-volume environment
  • Liaising with stakeholders including Brokers, Underwriters, Clients & Suppliers
  • Highly developed Interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written & verbal

The Ideal candidate:

  • Previous claims experience
  • Abiity to provide high levels of customer service and build rapport
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong Product knowledge
  • Compliant work practices
  • Strong focus on driving best practice in "Claims Excellence"
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy for our customers when required
  • Shows the ability to work independently and a part of a team
  • Displays willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Property claims experience is highly desirable
  • Well-developed negotiation skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Outcome oriented
