Proudly 100% Australian owned and operated, our client is a leading manufacturer of construction equipment and earthmoving machinery. This industry leading organisation is currently searching for a Customer Service Representative.

The Role

The purpose of a Customer Service Representative is to support and improve customer service levels by making process improvements at all levels, working alongside key Managers, sales staff, branches and planning staff. Some duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Answer phone enquiries promptly and are ensure they are dealt with efficiently
  • Processing orders and managing supply to customers ensuring you are entering sales order information accordingly
  • Build effective customer relations by understanding your customers and learning their business opportunities
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell products and generate leads
  • Liaising with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met, namely planning, branch nominated person and service departments
  • Keep customers updated throughout the order and dispatch process ensuring customers are notified of any delays prior to their expected delivery dates
  • Provide sales support to field sales representatives by delivering lead time information, brochures, product updates, contact information and quotations
  • Perform cold calls in line with sales requirements; after sales service and business opportunities
  • Familiarize and align yourself with selling techniques and sales business model
  • Undertake other duties when required by Management

Essential Requirements

  • High school certificate
  • Diploma or equivalent experience in sales and customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Component in computer systems; ERP, CRM, outlook email, word and excel
  • Highly organized and ability to time manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Highly motivated and self-directed
  • Demonstrated desire to work in a customer service environment going above and beyond to satisfy the customer
  • Must demonstrate the desire to perform in a professional manner as a team member as well as to give inputs on activities that will help complete project assignments in a timely and efficient manner while upholding the quality and safety standards.
