Job Description

As an Insurance Consultant for a specialist broker, you will be a part of team renowned for their market leading pressence in construction and financial lines. Your goal will be retain and grow stakeholder relationships by offering a whole of account approach. Your success will contribute to the long-term growth and strategic plan whilst simultaneously developing your personal and professional brand. ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Management of a portfolio of business with a emphasis on profitable growth
  • Support development of new business and retention/servicing of existing clients
  • Identifying potential and developing new client relationships and leads
  • Providing personal advice to clients in all matters affecting their Insurance program and risk management needs
  • Briefing clients on market trends and how they may be affected
  • Maintaining regular personal and telephone contact with clients throughout the year
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with clients and Insurers
  • Act on behalf of the client in the settlement of claims
  • Gathering underwriting information from clients/prospects and clearly articulating it to underwriters/insurers

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ideally 2 years or more experience in professional indemnity within the construction sector
  • Experience in portfolio management
  • Experience in providing quality customer service and identifying sales opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team
  • Bring a positive energy to the team
  • Have strong understanding of the insurance industry
  • Have working knowledge of legislation
