The Role

Generally the Mechanical Engineer is accountable for; the development of concepts and deployment of engineered solutions that ensure the safety of our employees and clients; ensuring the quality of our products through the application of sound design verification and validation principles; contribution to the delivery of a client focused Engineering service ensuring our products meet specification and the necessary reliability requirements; and finally, maximizing cost effectiveness of assembly, installation, commissioning and maintenance through optimization of assembly and service design.

Specifically, the Mechanical Engineer is responsible for:

  • Interpretation of client specifications and drawings;
  • The design of systems and components that meet the client's needs and requirements;
  • Perform full lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, manufacture and implement);
  • Produce CAD and SolidWorks drawings (GA and detailed);
  • Conduct experiments methodically, analyze data and interpret results;
  • Test and evaluate theoretical designs;
  • Identify, diagnose and develop effective solutions to emerging problems;
  • Evaluate final product's overall performance, reliability and safety;
  • Being the custodian of management of change processes;
  • Alter and modify designs to meet requirements and to eliminate malfunctions;
  • Estimate budget and documentation of project scope;
  • Solicit observations from field operators to aid the assessment of design;
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation; and
  • Engage in professional development ensuring exposure to new theories or methods

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in an Engineering related field
  • Chartered status with Engineers Australia (Preferred)
  • RPEQ Certification (Preferred)
