Job Description

Our client, a leader in the Medical Indemnity field, are continuing to experience significant growth in their business. In support of this and as part of the ongoing delivery of their business strategy, they have created a new senior role to lead their national sales function. As a result, we are searching for a highly driven and results focused National Head of Sales who will support our client's strategy to:

  • Deliver their Value Proposition for their members
  • Manage and enhance their brand with their members
  • Achieve strong growth outcomes through sales, retention and related activities
  • Ensure business efficiency, to support continued growth and ongoing value for their members

Reporting to the CEO of the Group's Medical Indemnity business, you will lead multiple teams, including state-based sales, corporate partnerships, national tele-sales, operations and events management.

Key accountabilities for this role include:

  • Lead and continue to develop high performing national sales teams
  • Provide direction and guidance across the management of commercial partner programs
  • Maintaining sales success through acquisition and retention of members and cross promotion of additional products and services
  • Develop and drive the national sales strategy and business plan
  • Lead business development opportunities at a national and group level
  • Develop and execute the national events strategy
  • Effectively monitor and manage sales outcomes consistent with the strategy and plan

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Extensive experience in senior sales leadership roles
  • Proven business development and sales experience within a direct sales environment
  • Experience at a senior level within the insurance, health care or financial services industry sectors
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing a national sales strategy and plans across multiple channels and products
  • Proven people leadership capability to engage a team and drive a high performance sales culture
  • Strong commerciality and business acumen
  • Excellent communication skills and influencing ability
  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
