Working exclusively alongside our client in Melbourne, Fuse Recruitment has been tasked with finding an experienced quality assurance manager who is not only an expert in quality, but also an individual who places a large focus on teamwork and internal stakeholder engagement. You will need to have a passion for working in a HC/HR environment, one that has a strong focus on quality, safety and adhering to process.
Our client is also looking for someone who is able to maintain and improve systems over time, not someone who simply has the certificates - someone that has the experience to pull apart a quality system and assist to rebuild from a technical advisory level. Exposure to a wide range of GFSI and retailer standards in the meat industry would see you succeed in this role.
You will be responsible for driving the site quality strategy, and will need to provide leadership to the existing quality team to ensure exceptional products can be processed and delivered adhering to our client's high level of product quality. Our client supplies the meat category across retail, food service and QSR.
Key responsibilities in the role will include:
Ensuring compliance of the Quality Management Systems to the highest standard
Managing all aspects of the HACCP program, animal welfare, pathogen control and product quality assurance
Analyse product safety and quality results to assist in driving continuous improvement
Leading internal and external customer audits, (knowledge of HACCP, and major retailer standards would be an huge advantage)
Preparation of Product Specifications and PIF's
Managing approved supplier program
Manage, monitor and work within budget
Liaise and report on customer, quality and technical complaints
To be successful for this position you will need to demonstrate:
Formal qualifications in Food Science
Experience in a similar quality assurance role
Internal auditing certification
Thorough understanding and practical working knowledge of HACCP
Experience with leading external audit processes
Exposure to RTE, meat, poultry and HC/HR environments
Attention to detail and a passion for quality
Excellent communication skills, along with a demonstrated key focus on building stakeholder relationships
