Job Description

Loads of autonomy, your ideas are welcomed

Be part of a large growth phase

Fantastic team culture and management team

Partnering with Fuse Recruitment, our client is searching for an experienced Quality Manager to support their business in providing technical and Quality compliance support, and be part of an Australian owned business dedicated to providing exceptional products to the dry ingredients sector, across Australia and overseas.

You will need to be as passionate about the end consumer as our client is, you will need to understand the market, current trends and be able to work at a fast pace. Customer feedback, complaints and queries are of absolute importance to our client and must always be addressed with a matter of urgency, so naturally you will enjoy investigating, recording and thinking outside the box, communicating with your important key internal stakeholders, and ensuring you always have the brand at front of mind.

Their new Quality Manager will have knowledge across multiple GFSI and retailer standards, experience implementing systems and a thorough understanding of RCA, the entire audit process and verification activities, and of course customer complaints. You will need to be hands on and wear multiple hats on a day to day basis, your office will be alongside production and you will always be visible out on the floor.

Key aspects of the role will include:

Management of the HACCP systems, CCP's and critical limits

Assist in the Approved Supplier Program

Participate in all internal and external food safety and quality audits

Coordinate the approval of new packaging and raw materials that assist in the NPD process

Liaise with production, NPD, sales and logistics around all areas of compliance

Interpret food legislation, regulations, export requirements, customer requirements and integrate into business policy and procedures

Drive continuous improvement through the business

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:

Bachelor of Science (Food)

Internal auditor training

Experience in a similar role

Excellent communication skills, both internal and external

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and experience using multiple internal database systems

Knowledge of HACCP, and additional GFSI and key retailer standards

Strong investigative skills with the ability to think in the grey... not just black and white

Strong commitment to getting the job done

Self-driven and able to work both in a team and autonomously

Flexibility with working hours is a must, with the changing face of manufacturing there may be a requirement to start early or finish late on the odd occasion.

In return, you will be welcomed by an employer who truly values their employees, has an open-door policy and understanding the need for a true work life balance. This vacancy attracts a salary plus superannuation.
