Partnering with Fuse Recruitment, our client is searching for an experienced Quality Manager to support their business in providing technical and Quality compliance support, and be part of an Australian owned business dedicated to providing exceptional products to the dry ingredients sector, across Australia and overseas.
You will need to be as passionate about the end consumer as our client is, you will need to understand the market, current trends and be able to work at a fast pace. Customer feedback, complaints and queries are of absolute importance to our client and must always be addressed with a matter of urgency, so naturally you will enjoy investigating, recording and thinking outside the box, communicating with your important key internal stakeholders, and ensuring you always have the brand at front of mind.
Their new Quality Manager will have knowledge across multiple GFSI and retailer standards, experience implementing systems and a thorough understanding of RCA, the entire audit process and verification activities, and of course customer complaints. You will need to be hands on and wear multiple hats on a day to day basis, your office will be alongside production and you will always be visible out on the floor.
Key aspects of the role will include:
Management of the HACCP systems, CCP's and critical limits
Assist in the Approved Supplier Program
Participate in all internal and external food safety and quality audits
Coordinate the approval of new packaging and raw materials that assist in the NPD process
Liaise with production, NPD, sales and logistics around all areas of compliance
Interpret food legislation, regulations, export requirements, customer requirements and integrate into business policy and procedures
Drive continuous improvement through the business
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
Bachelor of Science (Food)
Internal auditor training
Experience in a similar role
Excellent communication skills, both internal and external
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and experience using multiple internal database systems
Knowledge of HACCP, and additional GFSI and key retailer standards
Strong investigative skills with the ability to think in the grey... not just black and white
Strong commitment to getting the job done
Self-driven and able to work both in a team and autonomously
Flexibility with working hours is a must, with the changing face of manufacturing there may be a requirement to start early or finish late on the odd occasion.
