Job Description

Our Client is a nationally recognised insurance business that has been growing exponentially over the last 5 years and due to organic growth, they require an experienced Regional Director on a permanent basis to join their corporate broking team. The Regional Director will be primarily responsible for maintaining key relationships and driving the corporate broking strategic plans and objectives.

Reporting through to the Executive General Manager, this role will see you responsible for a broad range of tasks that will see you working across the Melbourne broking operations.

Your duties will include, but are not be limited to:

  • Ensuring broking portfolios operate profitably
  • Coordinate the integration of Construction and Marine Division
  • Assist Group Operations with oversight and management of Commercial and PersonalCover Broking portfolios
  • Increase business in line with management expectations
  • Expansion of network of influence
  • Conduct market segmentation and establish profitable clients
  • Identification and development of new business prospects
  • Contribute to new business activities
  • Maintain existing Client Relationships

Skills and Experience:
We are seeking expressions of interest from candidates with:

  • Experience at this level or similar position
  • Must have a wide exposure to the general insurance market place and product
  • Have strong Insurance Legislation understanding
  • Astute Technical broking and risk management capable
  • Must be across technical understanding of policy structure, design and underwriting and claims process
  • Experienced team manager with inherit ability to influence change
  • Analytically sound with strong ability to problem solve and interpret
  • Adept communication and presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Appetite for developing business
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Creative and innovative
