About the company

My client is a fast growing organisation specialising in purpose built automated equipment for the manufacturing industry

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage R&D projects to ensure they are on time and within budget
  • Identify new technologies and set commercial goals
  • Provide technical advice and assistance on new automation technologies
  • Summarise research results to key stakeholders
  • Conduct field tests, prove or modify theoretical propositions on the basis of research findings or experience of others

About you:

  • Engineering Degree (Mechatronics / Automation) or equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in an automation capacity
  • Proven experience of machine control systems including motion control, hydraulics, pneumatics, control architectures, PLC and HMI programming
  • Must have proven experience working with machine vision systems
  • Familiarity with networking and SQL would be highly advantageous
  • Knowledge and experience with leading brands of motion control components
  • Creative thinker
  • Able to interpret engineering and electrical drawings
  • Understanding of programming languages
  • Fully qualified mechanical tradesperson
