About the company
My client is a fast growing organisation specialising in purpose built automated equipment for the manufacturing industry
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage R&D projects to ensure they are on time and within budget
- Identify new technologies and set commercial goals
- Provide technical advice and assistance on new automation technologies
- Summarise research results to key stakeholders
- Conduct field tests, prove or modify theoretical propositions on the basis of research findings or experience of others
About you:
- Engineering Degree (Mechatronics / Automation) or equivalent
- Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in an automation capacity
- Proven experience of machine control systems including motion control, hydraulics, pneumatics, control architectures, PLC and HMI programming
- Must have proven experience working with machine vision systems
- Familiarity with networking and SQL would be highly advantageous
- Knowledge and experience with leading brands of motion control components
- Creative thinker
- Able to interpret engineering and electrical drawings
- Understanding of programming languages
- Fully qualified mechanical tradesperson
