Job Description

Our client is an established Underwriting Agency with a specialisation in the construction and engineering-related industries. As part of their ongoing growth and development they're looking to expand their operation in to Sydney and require a Senior Account Executive to help lead their Sydney operation. An experienced senior insurance professional with business development capabilities in the Construction and Engineering arenas would be an optimal candidate for the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the market facing function through new and existing relationships
  • Establish, develop and maintain relationships with key strategic brokerages
  • Provide risk management advice and comprehensive insurance knowledge to clients
  • Support and drive new business opportunities and develop new client networks
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to the existing staff
  • Work closely with the Managing Director
  • Maintain industry/market knowledge

The Must Haves:

  • Proven competency and background with Construction insurance (essential)
  • Demonstrated sales and business development capabilities
  • Tertiary qualifications in business-related discipline (preferred)
  • Strong business acumen
  • Staff management and leadership capabilities
  • Motivated, driven and capable of working autonomously
  • Strong general insurance product knowledge
  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Personable, proactive and customer focused
