Our client is a trusted advisor to a large, yet niche industry of professionals. This role is a critical member of their team responsible for managing a portfolio of their corporate clients and a team of 3 Assistant Account Executives and Account Managers. As part of their ongoing growth and development to deliver exceptional service to their clients, they are now recruiting for a Senior Account Manager to join the business.

The Need to Know:

  • Capable of managing an existing portfolio of corporate accounts
  • Effectively manage several staff as direct reports
  • Provide risk management advice and comprehensive insurance knowledge to clients
  • Support and drive new business opportunities and develop new client networks
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key SME clients
  • Maintain industry/market knowledge
  • Provide an outstanding and efficient service to all customers

The Must Haves:

  • Tier 1 Broking qualification (essential)
  • Previous Account Management within the General Insurance industry (essential)
  • Right to work in Australia (essential)
  • Diploma of Financial Services (preferred)
  • Tertiary qualifications in business-related discipline (preferred)
  • Strong general insurance product knowledge
  • The ability to proactively manage an existing portfolio
  • Proven Sales and Business Development capabilities
  • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Personable, proactive and customer focused
