The Role

The purpose of a Service Administrator is to support and serve existing accounts/customer service levels by making process improvements at all levels, working alongside front-line managers, sales staff, branches and planning staff. Some duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Answer phone enquiries promptly and are ensure they are dealt with efficiently
  • Scheduling servicing as required
  • Liaising with customers/clients and resolving queries
  • Build effective customer relations by understanding your customers and learning their business opportunities
  • Liaising with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met, namely planning, branch nominated person and service departments
  • Keep customers updated throughout the service process
  • Undertake other duties when required by Management
  • Complete all paperwork relating to the completion of jobs, service reports and other required information
  • Train new staff as required within the service division
  • Assist with organising any service customer training days and social events

Essential Requirements

  • A minimum 12 months' experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience working in a mechanical or manufacturing environment is highly regarded
  • Previously experince working in a workshop environment
  • Forklift ticket is desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Component in computer systems; ERP, CRM, outlook email, word and excel
  • Highly organized and ability to time manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Highly motivated and self-directed
  • Must demonstrate the desire to perform in a professional manner as a team member as well as to give inputs on activities that will help complete project assignments in a timely and efficient manner while upholding the quality and safety standards.
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements as directed by service heads
  • Knowledge of computerized parts processing systems
