Job Description

Primary purpose of role

This role provides technical IT support in relation to its core business services across a range of server, storage and networking technologies as well as providing end user support. These services are provided to all locations in Australia and New Zealand.

Key Accountabilities in role

  • Ensure all incidents and requests are prioritised and actioned appropriately
  • Respond and resolve cases within agreed targets and SLAs
  • Perform and assist with major incidents, requests and problems
  • Coordinate activities with end users to ensure a positive customer experience delivered
  • Develop and maintain policy, standards, procedures, plans, supporting systems and process objectives
  • Assist and provide input with the business case development process
  • Develop, test and implement Disaster Recovery and IT Service Continuity plans
  • Support and guidance for BYO devices
  • Coordinate direct and indirect support team members to solve BAU and Project activities
  • Manage strategic partners and ensure effective engagement, integration and collaboration
  • Manage user access lifecycle
  • Maintain hardware maintenance plans and backup routines
  • Maintain and develop network monitoring and configuration
  • Provide user and device statistics required for forecasting license and hardware budgets

Technical competencies required in role

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work within targets and deadlines
  • Adherence to implemented guidelines and processes
  • Ability to analyse and solve problems to resolution
  • Able to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • A good knowledge of the organisation's technical environment and operating platforms

Qualifications required in role

  • Proven background configuring, supporting and managing Windows Server and VMware environments
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology
  • Relevant industry technical qualifications e.g. MCP, VCP
  • Preferred exposure to Financial services environment, particularly insurance broking
